A pretty street in the village

An intricate maze of winding cobbled streets, where the visitor may wander as if in times past, remote from the hubbub of the motor car.
The quaint winding streets are lined with tiny shops and intimate bars here and there leading on to tree shaded squares where you may rest and take much welcomed refreshment.
There is an abundance of historic features, old arches, ancient houses stacked one above another, fresh water springs providing washing and watering sites, the Alcazaba Fortress - today rebuilt as the village church.
History abounds from every corner, as does a warm welcome.
At night Mojacar is transformed into a gourmet's paradise, a multitude of restaurants opening their doors to offer traditional Spanish cuisine, seafood
and shellfish specialities, as well as English, Chinese, Indian, Cantonese, French, Indonesian and other culinary varieties.
The village comes alive with colourful places and colourful people.
